technologies which meet the high assurance requirement of businesses.

standards.
XXX
basically provides security solutions for e-commerce systems such
as Internet Banking, Mobile banking, E-Commerce payment processing hub,
and on-line government services delivery.
Their security products include web information delivery and
exchange, electronic payment, online EDI document delivery,
tamper-resistant hardware key management servers, secure e-mail and
client environment protection.
XXX currently has a staff of
approximately 45 people stationed in the Singapore headquarters and
regional offices in Hong Kong and Thailand.
Their customer base includes many prominent Asian banking
institutions and governments.

With
the plans for roll out of the business plans and the build out of the
top executive team, there is a critical need to hire a VP for
International Business Development who will be in charge of the sales
and marketing efforts at XXX
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The
VP of International Business Development will be responsible for building
a proactive and effective marketing/sales organization for XXX in the
Asia Pacific region (territory includes Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, China,
Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and the South
Pacific Islands).
Principal
Accountabilities
·
Work with country sales managers and
marketing executives in growing business profitably through development
and implementation of world class marketing strategies, programs and
practices across all product categories(Consultancy Services, Products
Customization, System Integration, Corporate Training, Project
Management and Support Services).
·
Review opportunities for rapid
expansion (geographical/channel/product category) through creative
business development initiatives. Provide
strategic leadership in building scale, drive product development and
manage product portfolio suitable for the Asia Pacific market, mindful
of the need to integrate businesses, organizations and corporate
cultures.
·
Facilitate the development of marketing
plans in all markets in terms of product range, and other support
programs, and monitor progress.
·
Be the main contact to lead negotiation
efforts with third parties, joint ventures, and other strategic
alliances with other major industry players.
·
Assess the competitive environment and
look for possible acquisition targets.
·
Instill a disciplined/systematic
approach to brand management and strive to achieve consistency across
the region. Manage overall
regional advertising agency, public relations and research supplier
relationships.
·
Share knowledge and ideas to create
synergies across region; establish consistent and effective
communication with other functional directors to ensure alignment with
regional/global strategies; assist Asia Pacific markets with category
training and transfer of critical competencies.
This will include company and competitive case histories, global
and regional technology trends, customer dynamics, product technology,
etc.

Facilitate growth and development of
sales and marketing employees, work with HR to assess employee
competencies, development needs and training programs.
Participate in staff appraisals and selection of senior
personnel.
·
A key aspect of this person’s
responsibilities will be to track all new product developments within
the industry and to assure that XXX’s products are in-line with the
market trends and customer needs.
·
He/She will establish a product
marketing team, and work closely with them in evaluating
“time to market”, “time to volume”, pricing strategies,
product releases, packaging, and after sales customer service issues.
They will have to implement a process for macro strategic
planning, establishing business modeling and benchmarking processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Experience
and Knowledge
Key
requirements for the Vice President of International Business
Development will be a well-rounded skills set encompassing marketing,
strategic business development and general management experience.
Breadth and depth of multiple country experience.
Demonstrated leadership roles.
1.
At least 10 years of solid sales and marketing experience and 5
years in the software, banking or related high transaction type of
industry with a western multinational.
2.
Ideally has a strong technical background, and is firmly
dedicated to the e-commerce space.
3.
Experience or demonstrated ability in leading a regional team of
country managers.
4.
Understanding of how to integrate and maximize resources, build
and leverage strategic partnerships.
5.
Classical marketing background with strong analytical abilities
and quantitative discipline an advantage.
6.
A willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
7.
An MBA or strong post-graduate Business degree(s).
