GOVERNMENT COUNCIL APPROVES SETTING UP HONG
KONG BRUCE LEE GALLERY.
Hong Kong's Urban Council has approved a plan to construct a
special Bruce Lee Gallery at the SAR's new film archive, scheduled
to open in 2000. The issue had previously hit the
headlines when some councilors objected to the plan, on the basis
that Lee's private life was allegedly a bad example for Hong Kong
youth. The motion, proposed by Councilor Lam Man-fai, was
approved by a margin of 33 votes to one.
